Sounds Like Time Travel (Brainstorm Thread for Episode 3 Sound Assets)

A new call for sound asset submissions is coming up Tuesday, October 23 (today!)...post your ideas in this thread to start brainstorming and getting feedback!

The submission prompt is: Whenever Jasper and Cornelius use the time machine, it makes a very specific noise -- what is it? Record a time machine sound. Submit your sound as a .wav or .mp3 file that is no more than four seconds long.

Acceptable file types:

• .wav files, stereo preferred, mono is fine too, 16bit, 44.1kHz
• .mp3 files, 128 kbps (stereo)/64kbps(mono) or higher quality

It's also a good idea to normalize your audio to -3 dB -- that way all of the sounds will be about the same volume.

I've just returned from the future, after a botched attempt to kill the parents of @chrisumbel, and I've heard some things. Terrible things. Do not attempt to read the line hidden below until after 05/11/2012. Prior knowledge of this information from the future could create a time paradox, the results of which could cause a chain reaction that would unravel the very fabric of the space-time continuum and destroy the entire universe! Granted, that's the worst-case scenario. But you have been warned!

But I'm confused, @Nozcumber, how did you hear my submission? Did you really get your time machine working?

@MikeT I actually discovered this as well.  Apparently there's a way for users to navigate to some weird section of the Forums that, from what I can gather, is probably not meant for public access.

If you click General Discussion, and then click The Foyer in the forum location, it brings you to a page that displays information about people's submissions.  I'll be certain to post it to the Roach Motel.
